Chicago! Last year's trip to Tennessee led us to meet a nice young couple at a fantastic family-style restaurant in Nashville called Monell's (which we give a major thumbs-up to). We got to talking about travel and food, and they mentioned the well-known "Taste of Chicago" festival... SOLD. We decided to take a train from little ole Minneola, TX all the way to Chicago's Union Station. We love the Windy City- great food, great museum, great architecture, and unlike Manhattan (which we also loved), REAL people live there- families, etc. Chicago is a city you can actual live in.
