Over Spring Break we went camping at Dinosaur Valley State Park in Glen Rose. For two science geeks like Hayden and I it was heaven! The whole family enjoyed camping, hiking and exploring the 110+ million year-old dino footprints. Many of the prints are in the Paluxy River, a shallow flowing river that flows through the SP. It made for a beautiful setting (and Darla loved playing in the river). Since TISD's Spring Break was earlier than almost everyone else, the park was almost empty... nice. While in Glen Rose we also visited Fossil Rim- a drive-thru wildlife preserve.
